from romney before. we certainly heard it when they rolled out paul ryan, the number one deficit hawk in the house. we've heard this before. the question for romney is, will he stick? will he stay there, and will he continue to prosecute president obama's record and policies in a more robust way? because in the past what he's done is tried the tough new tone and not stayed there. megyn: well, he's taking it a step farther, right? it's not just about his policies, but it's about his ideology and an argument that he sees the world differently than mitt romney sees the world and, you know, there was that tape earlier, the 1998 tape of barack obama and talking about redistribution, and, you know, we've heard comments like that from the president before, and both men seem to agree that they have very different ideologies, but romney hasn't really gone after the president on that ground so strongly. republicans are going to respond to that, chris. but will, will independents, and have independents really heard a lot about that message thus far in this campaign? >> no. and think about this,
